Handmade at Kew - 8-11 October 2015, 10 am - 6 pm daily
06 Sep, 2015
With the children just back at school, as I’m writing this it seems too early to talk about Christmas shopping but I can’t think of a better place to start than at Handmade in Kew which is taking place in the pictureseque setting of Kew Gardens just 30 minutes from the centre of London from 8 -11 October. Handmade in Britain and the Royal Botanical Gardens have combined to put on this spectacular International Contemporary Craft Event and I’m very proud that Kara Jewellery has been chosen to exhibit at this very prestigious event.
I’m a country girl through and through and my jewellery is inspired by the natural beauty of nature which I'm constantly surrounded by where I live on the hill overlooking the quaint village of Yalding, so there is no better place I can think of to exhibit at, than next to the elegant Royal Pavilion in Kew Gardens – one of the most famous gardens in the World!
With over 200 handpicked exhibitors it’ll be the perfect place to find unusual Christmas gifts and hear the stories behind the inspiration of the people creating them. If you aren’t in the mood for Christmas yet then it will be a lovely day out in a wonderful setting. I saw the work of Rebecca Joselyn at the Desire Fair earlier in the year and I fell in love with it. Her silver bag vases and silver sardine cans were quirky and would look fantastic in any house.
Ticket prices are below and they include admission to the gardens so please treat yourself to a day out and come and visit me on Stand K5.
